Beng Melea Temple

        

          Beng Mealea Temple 70km from Siem Reap Town. This temple is known as the proto type of Angkor Wat. On the way there, you’ll catch glimpses of the vast countryside and rural lifestyle of real Cambodia.You can expect a journey of around 1:30hr-2:00hr travel time to destination by its architectural style, identical to Angkor Wat. It’s a mystical and secluded forgotten temple which is not heavily visited like the other sites of Angkor due to it's remote location. Here you will gaze in amazement at the sights, tranquility, sounds and the devouring jungle as it slowly swallows Beng Mealea. To discover this temple, you have to walk around, climb in over fallen pillars, under and through fallen structures. There are ramps to climb right to the roof of the temple and from there you can look down and to get a different perspective. It is exhilarating sitting up on the roof top looking down at a 1000 year old temple in the middle of the jungle.
