Mechrey village is one of the floating communities, located at the edge of Tone Sap Lake away from Siem Reap town about 28km. Amazing lives on lake and fishing activities are so wonderful that drive it attractive, curious and to be explored. Getting the private sheltered boat ride is the best way to explore how people’s lives work and witness their daily activities, including fishing, schooling, selling their products by rowing their dugout around. See the great lake and witness its ecosystem.

Itinerary:

Starting at 8:30am pick up from your accommodation in Siem Reap, we depart and head west towards the isolated but interesting Meh Chrey floating village, this is quite a unique and isolated floating village that moves in and out from the great lake as the water levels either receded or increase depending on the time of year. The trip from Siem Reap Town to Mey Chrey is about 30km and will take about 45 mins. One of several communities that can be found dotted about the lake, occasionally left high and dry when the water level is low, and stop over at a pagoda built on its own island. Further exploration enters a sunken forest that is home to many species of wildlife.
